SARATOGA JOCKEYS VS. MEDIA SOFTBALL DUEL TO BE HELD AUGUST 30
The Saratoga jockeys will take on Capital District television and Star 101.3 FM radio personalities in a charity softball game on Monday, August 30. The game will be held at the East Side Recreation Park on Lake Avenue in Saratoga Springs at 7 pm. Gates open at 6 pm with a $5 admission for adults and a $2 admission for children under 12.
The first 100 paid adult admissions will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
BLIND LUCK FINDS THE WIRE TO WIN BETFAIR TVG ALABAMA

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Blind Luck’s keen eye found the wire first again Saturday afternoon at Saratoga Race Course as she rallied from last to edge Havre de Grace by a neck and win the 130th running of the Grade 1, $500,000 Betfair TVG Alabama Stakes.
Patiently ridden by Joel Rosario, the daughter of Pollard’s Vision was unhurried along the rail, right behind heavily favored Devil May Care, as Acting Happy took the field of six 3-year-old fillies through pokey fractions of 24.03, 49.45 and 1:14.81.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – It’s Tea Time picked up her first victory on the main track with a decisive score at Saratoga Race Course in Sunday’s Grade 3 Woodford Reserve Lake Placid for 3-year-old fillies.

Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
The Canadian Horse Racing’s Class of 2010 was officially inducted into the Hall of Fame last evening, August 19, at the Mississauga Convention Centre. The gala celebrations honoured six horses and four horsemen in the Hall of Fame’s 35th anniversary induction dinner.

WEST POINT GOES TO STRAIGHT STORY

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – It was a Straight Story indeed Thursday afternoon at Saratoga Race Course, as the even-money favorite took the 31st running of the $100,000 West Point for New York-breds.
Although he stumbled slightly out of the gate, Straight Story went right after pacesetter Spa City Fever, who led the field through opening fractions of 22.57 and 48.12. After rating in second through three-quarters in 1:12.37, Straight Story moved into the lead on the far turn and edged clear to win by a length.
