A list of horses that look ‘live’ and solid ready to win prospects, at tracks across North America. Horses are considered playable for win only at odds of 3-1 or better, and 5-1, for win-place. Each horse is playable a maximum of three times.
November 7 (Woodbine Racetrack)
WILD SHOOTER
Maiden showed up in N2L and wasn’t overly disgraced. This one should be tough next time out back with non-winners.
November 12 (Churchill Downs)
NEHRU
Good works and made debut with some money showing on the board. Was slow from the gate, raced four wide and then seemed to hang in the stretch to finish fourth. Trainer is better second time back.
November 14 (Woodbine Racetrack)
BEAR IN CONTROL
Although let go at 30-1, horse looked to have some run only to be bothered by the eventual winner. Rider got him going again to just lose third.
November 27 (Fair Grounds)
ACCOMPLISHMENT
First time starter certainly outran her 26-1 odds by rallying to finish third in a short turfer. With a better break she could get all the money next time.
SHOW ‘EM ALL
Mott filly looked to have a chance to repeat after Maiden breaker in last. Showed a change in running style this day by racing on the front end in a turf route which wasn’t the place to be. This girl needs to revert back to her off the pace style.
(Hollywood Park)
BYE BYE HOLLYWOOD
Filly looked like she had a chance to repeat, but cost herself dearly with a bobble at the break. Still finished well for second.
GRANT MARTY ADREAM
Maiden filly looks to be sitting on her initial score. Five and a half furlongs was just too short today, however she did run on well enough to just miss the win in a three-horse photo.
PINKARELLA
Three-year-old had been off since March, but powered her way to an easy win in a NW1 Allowance. Lightly raced lass looks to be any kind.
November 29 (Hollywood Park)
LEOTHE LION
First time starter debuted off a good series of works and finished quite willingly, a closing fourth. Barn is usually better second time out.
WHISPERING HUSH
Two-year-old filly went straight from a convincing Maiden win to G3 Miesque Stakes. Was off slow, but made a four wide bid into the stretch, only to hang. This filly is bred to like turf, and it looks like the further they go, the better for her!
