Profound Beauty strengthen her position as favourite for tomorrow’s Irish Field St Leger at the Curragh with the Dermot Weld trained performer currently priced at 7/4 with Boylesports. The Jeremy Noseda trained Sans Frontieres is 11/4, while Kite Wood is 7/1 having been 11/1 earlier in the week. Other prices are 8/1 Tactic, 9/1 Flying Cross, while the Charlie Swan trained Rajik is now 11/1 having been 20/1, while the Japanese owner Pop Rock is 16/1.

Newly crowned Rose of Tralee Rose Clare Kamembattu, originally from Athy in County Kildare, will be the guest of honour at the Curragh races this Sunday when she heads the judging panel for the Newbridge Silverware “Search for a Style Icon” competition. The Curragh to stage first Amateur Riders Derby

The Curragh Racecourse is set to stage the first Amateur Riders Derby as part of the Autumn Festival of Racing on Saturday 11th September. The race over 14 furlongs will have a total prize fund of €56,000 and will be open to all qualified riders.

Music Show trained by Mick Channon and the Godolphin owned Anna Salai are among 19 fillies declared to run in the Etihad Airways Irish 1000 Guineas taking place at the Curragh this Sunday. Ladbrokes have installed both fillies as joint favourites at 7/2. The home trained team is lead by the Tommy Stack trained Lolly for Dolly who is currently at 5/1, with English 1000 Guineas third Gile Na Greine at 6/1.
